Well, there you go. One incident, in Mexico, not the US; at a Chinese restaurant, not a Mexican restaurant; it was meat prepped for the owner’s own consumption, not something secretly fed to unwitting customers; locals were so horrified that other Chinese restaurants saw customers drop by about 90%; the Chinese consul condemned it as illegal; other Chinese immigrants in Mexico condemned it harshly. Therefore claiming that a Mexican restaurant in the US is rounding up stray cats to put them in food for unwitting white customers isn’t racist! Boy do you ever know how to make your point. [Edit: if your point is that in rare cases dog meat is eaten outside of China, sure, conceded–but I conceded it could happen in the post you quoted.] ---

Maybe he meant exactly what I say he meant, but just didn’t express himself very well because he was in a hurry. Maybe English isn’t his first language and he didn’t adequately communicate his meaning. Maybe he’s just not very good at writing. Seems to me those are a few bases that you should’ve covered before pitting the guy, 'cos you kinda look like an uncharitable asshole at the moment. ---

Say what you may about Chinese and Mexican restaurants, but I have [documented proof](https://www.google.com/search?q=lady+tramp&num=30&newwindow=1&client=tablet-android-lenovo&prmd=ivsn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjW-sXJhujSAhVp44MKHT78CdEQ_AUIBygB&biw=962&bih=601#imgrc=yoQNRDT0UyqhHM:) that Italian restaurants serve dogs! I have always had a big problem with claims of exotic meats substituting for utility grade beef: cost. Earthworms? Kangaroo? Horsemeat? Have you ever priced them? And cats; I’m permanently scarred from trying to get one out of a trap. ---

One thing I could never buy into with The Stray Cats was that they tried to cop this 50s greaser tough guy look, but none of them actually looked tough enough to pull it off. They looked more like kids dressed up for Halloween. If you put giant fireman boots and an oversized fire helmet on one of them, they would look right in place knocking on your door and asking for candy. ---

Sorry, **Eonwe** , I didn’t mean to ignore your question. I wouldn’t say that to anyone because it’s stupid and not funny or ironic in any way, not out of fear of offending them. I understand what you’re getting at so a better question might be, would I make that comment to a person of Chinese descent, to which I already said I would not. Just because I don’t find the comment showcased in the OP racist doesn’t mean I don’t find \*anything \*racist or that I condone insulting people. ---
