Ok this my first post after lurking for a long time. I don’t mean to sound racist, but why cant Mexicans control their fucking kids in public? I’m eating lunch today, in walks a Mexican couple with a baby and 2 toddlers somewhere between 2 to 4 years old. The second they walk through the door the toddlers run straight over to where you get iced tea and stick their hands in a serving bowl full of lemon wedges. In full view of the parents. What did the parents do? NOT A FUCKING THING! Those kids repeated this FOUR times. There were lemons all over the mother fucking place! So they finally set down at a table, which of course is directly behind me. The parents make the kids sit down to eat. Guess what the kids do. Yep you guessed it, THEY START SCREAMING THEIR FUCKING HEADS OFF. Other times I seen Mexican parents let there kids run all over the place. The kids literally disappear, and the parents do nothing. They don’t look around to at least try and see them. I’ve seen Mexican kids throw food all over the place in full view of the “parents” and the parents don’t do a damn thing! WTF! One time I saw a Mexican kid throw food on the floor. He then gets out of his little booster seat, reaches down, picks up, and starts EATING FUCKING FOOD OFF THE FLOOR. The parents are sitting RIGHT THERE. YOUR KID JUST EAT FOOD OFF OF A PUBLIC RESTAURANTS FLOOR!! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!? No, I’m not Mexican and yes I have kids and they do not behave like that at home or in public. Do Mexicans not care about their kids? Do they have a lot kids so they can afford to lose a few? ---

Not sure if this is a whoosh. I hope so. Ever worked in a toy store? Pet store? Been to a Mexican resort that allows American children? They are no treat. There probably are some parenting techniques that can be tied, albeit loosely, to certain groups of immigrants. And every parent gets tired and gives up, once in a while, to the chagrin of onlookers. But most understand the ‘Control your kids or I will feed them to kiddie diddlers’ glare. ---

Why does the phrase “I’m not racist…” or “I don’t mean to sound racist…” **always** precede something racist? If you really don’t want to sound racist, there’s actually a pretty foolproof method to avoid it: Don’t say things that are racist. ---

Wow, I hope this is a whoosh too. Don’t say ‘I don’t mean to sound racist, but…’ and then proceed to be racist. Responding to the OP, it’s not just Mexicans. It’s the poor, the rich, the white, the black, the hispanic, the asian, the mother, the father, the grandparents, it’s everyone and any one. I see a lot of poor white people with uncontrollable kids in Walmart, and I read about uncontrollable rich kids in the media. What about them? I’ve also found that once you notice something, and it makes a negative impression on you (like Mexican children being unruly), you notice it more and more. So maybe because you are only looking for bad Mexican parents, you’re missing your kid picking his nose and putting a booger in the salad bar. ---

The best part of this promising debut post is the title: “Mexicans, control your damn kids in public!” is an order to Mexicans about how their kids behave when they’re outside. But “Mexicans control your damn kids while in public!” means that the OP believes when my awful children are in public, somehow they are magically controlled by Mexicans. ---

I’m as racist as the next guy, but I’ve never had a problem with the way Mexicans supervise their children in public. The sundry rampages of redneck rugrats have been much more pervasive in my experience. ---
