Michael Crichton’s [latest novel](http://www.michaelcrichton.net/books-micro.html), unfinished before his death, but completed by Richard Preston ([The Hot Zone](http://www.richardpreston.net/books/hz.html)). I’m on chapter seven and loving it so far. It’s not high literature but it’s a page turner, sort of a scientific John Grisham tale. I think it was high time someone updated the Incredible Shrinking Man—which I saw recently on cable—and this seems to have feature film written all over it. Think Fantastic Voyage meets Jurassic Park. I look forward for Hollywood to churn out the inevitable summertime blockbuster complete with monstrous CGI insects. Great fun.
