A solid majority of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists (and of the other promoters of and participants in organized right-wing violence over the past several years) are not “uneducated” “peasants” in any sense of the term. Irresponsible apologists for middle- and upper-class seditionists (like Michael Flynn, for example) try to deflect blame from them by sneering at hypothetical working-class “peasants” as the source of violent unrest. ---

Now the only question is, is it all false outrage and sentiment (like his lover Flynn) designed to bring about liberal tears and outrage (and in Flynn’s case, cold hard $$$), or is trolling because he’s one of those Religious Right Nutjobs who want to do the same thing and feel a perverse pride in preaching (social) hellfire and damnation to those who dare to, you know, be rational. Since he consistently misrepresents even his own sources, I really have to say it’s the first. ---

He’s just one of the many who think they are superior beings because they can make you mad. “You’re mad I call you a sheep”. “No I’m not, I think you’re silly.” “See! I knew you were mad. I win!” Then he high-fives himself and has his mom make him a hot pocket. In high school, I dealt with people like that by throwing them against the lockers and verbally reminding them what I could do if I really got mad. Alas, adult life is different. (As it should be.) ---
