Also: what’s going to happen to his poor kids? I know the two older ones would probably go to their mom, Debbie, but wasn’t Blanket conceived by a surrogate who gave up her rights? ---

CNN just played an excerpt from that interview where MJ said the most loving thing was to share your bed with a child (while holding a kid’s hand). I wasn’t ready to go back to the creepy place just yet. ---

That his reputation fell apart near completely because of the allegations against him and his increasing eccentricity is unquestioned, and that’s caused people to reject their fandom of his music but taken on its own, the artistry still stands up. He was a quintessential musician and showman. He’ll be missed by many, many people. My sympathies are with his family, especially his children. ---

Do not underestimate the crazy worldwide love people have for MJ. I will never forget that during my time in London he was staying in a hotel a short ways away from my flat, and I had a terrible nights sleep because his fans would not SHUT THE HELL UP. Just screaming and screaming all night. ---

Some have said or speculated it was a heart attack. I know thin people can have heart attacks, but I’m not aware of any history in his family of heart problems. So if that is how they are listing it, I’m guessing it was probably brought on by some sort of mixture of prescription drugs. It seems to take a lot of celebrities. Sure hasn’t been a good week for celebrities. I’m hoping I’m wrong, but Patrick Swayze probably isn’t too far behind. ---

My first girlfriend left me for Michael Jackson. Or rather due to her ( presumably ) unrequited love for Michael Jackson. We were in kindergarten mind you, so this was the cute Jackson 5 era MJ I’m talking about. Here’s to you, Carmen - sorry about your old beau. ---

I just pulled up iTunes, and to my seriously great surprise, I have _no_ MJ music. The best tribute I could do was to play Weird Al’s “Eat It.” Sorry, Michael. I tried. ---
