I remember when Liz Taylor gave an interview during Michael’s child-abuse woes. “Michael Jackson is the least weird person I know,” she said. Well, of _course_ Michael Jackson is the least weird person _you_ know—you’re Elizabeth Taylor! What the hell kind of recommendation is _that?_ ---

The mother of his first two kids was a former nurse who worked for him. “Debbie” something-or-other, I can’t remember her name. They married very briefly, presumably so the kid(s) wouldn’t be born out of wedlock. As for the newest wee-un, it is currently not known publicly whether he is MJ’s offspring or if he’s adopted. So **Iteki** the other reason the kid is a lighter shade of pale is because his mom may be Debbie Whatsherface (very white woman) and has his mom’s complexion or because the kid is adopted. While the photo looks quiter creepy, the video shows that it was very quick and once the little, diaper-wearer started wriggling, MJ was quick to pull the kid back inside. Still a stupid thing to do, but I’ve seen parents holding squirming babies on subway platforms that have made me far more nervous. ---

Arnold – Herein lies the logic with good parents verses bad verses wealth. A child growing up in a nonlove environment would first wish for loving parents. A child growing up with loving parents may wish for wealth as the next step. I don`t think you would ever see someone growing up in a nonloving environment and wanting wealth over loving parents. “I wish my parents, who don`t love me, had more money” NO “I wish my parents, who love me, had more money” YES Good parents will do the right things with the wealth whereas poor parents may make bad decisions with their wealth. I would take good parents over wealthy bad ones any day. MJ is a freak!! Any one who could do to their own body what he has done to his does not need to be an example for children. Judging by the speaking voices of a few of his family members, MJ’s voice is more or less his natural one. Not quite as unusual as Chris Tucker’s (from the Jackie Chan _Rush Hour_ movies). And if the rumour above is hinting at a MJ’ds father making him a castratto that’s just absurd. His career was more about the pop tunes that were churned out. It’s probably a helluva lot simpler than that: He suffers from dreadful self-esteem. He doesn’t want to look _good_, he want to look _better_. I find it creepy that his self-loathing has turned into such a grotesque addiction to plastic surgery. ---

whuckfistle - I agree a lot with what you have to say, except for the division of parents in “good” vs. “bad”. It’s not that simple (which is what I thought I had said before)! The range of parenting goes from the child molester to the childcare expert who devotes all his time to his kids. I’m not going to label “monster!” the parent who puts up his kids in a foster home, so that the child will have better opportunities later in life, even though the child might have more love with the parent. Good parenting includes the ability to provide for a child’s future. ---

**Chula** Oh, do rest assured that I read your disclaimer and didn’t think you actually believed it. It’s just that some of the rumours out there are as outrageous as the performer they’re targeting. I’ve been quite shocked at the number of people who take many of them as _fact._ Even when they are debunked by legitimate sources. FTR, I’m not an MJ fan, and in fact, aside from “Bad” I don’t think I can name even _one_ title of any song he released since _Thriller_. But the myths are so darned weird that I find it as irksome when people believe them as when people insist that _The Blair Witch Project_ is a true story. Example (Myth from the 1980s still sometimes taken as fact): “Michael Jackson sleeps in an oxygen tent in an attempt to preserve his youth!” Debunk: After he was burned while shooting a Pepsi commercial. MJ donated a hyperbaric chamber and provided some serious cabbage to fund the MJ Burn Center (I think it’s in Culver City, CA). At one point, Jackson climbed into the tank to see what the “iron lung”-like chamber was like. Someone snapped a quick picture, it was published in the tabloids and a myth was born! Some people still think he sleeps in an oxygen tent while aiming to be Diana Ross while attemtping to buy the skeleton of the Elephant Man. ---

Yes, but if you do have an illness, it’s nice to be able to afford the treatments. The wealthy can afford better medical care. Obsessive compulsive disorder is the same as depression? Or are the two unrelated? It seems to me that you manage to cope with it pretty well, I never would have guessed from your posts. ---

I wonder what type of “medication” he was on. My guess is tons and tons of folks do stupid shit when their fried. And then maybe somebody in the crowd below was yelling “Hey Michael, throw us your baby!” Needless to say MJ’s not exactly a model of behaviour. ---
