Where did I say chemically straightened? It looks to me like it’s had GHDs on it. Actually, hang on - on the first page, someone posted a picture of a very young Paris, and she has curly hair. Curly light brown hair is really common on the mixed-race kids round here. I mean, I don’t know if she is MJ’s biological child, but her looks don’t prove anything either way. (The elder son really looks like a young MJ facially, and the younger son resembles him too and is quite dark in colouring). ---

I absolutely believe that Paris Jackson is a quarter black. She easily looks it. And I do think that she shares facial features in common with Michael Jackson. Granted, he tried to make his voice higher as time went on, but it’s clear he’s switching to falsetto at the top, something he not only never had to do as a child, but would also be near impossible on his pre-changed voice type. And for people without knowledge of voice, you can listen to him talk in the trial tapes, where his voice is a pretty heft baritone when he’s drugged out of his mind. ---

I’m not getting the “quarter” black stuff. MJ is not biracial. Neither one of his parents is white. And if there had been a white grandparent up in that family, we would have heard about it. Don’t ya’ll think? You can’t fractionate African-American ancestry like you can do with other racial/ethnic admixtures. Very few African Americans know what all is in their woodpile. This is not an argument either way about MJ’s parentage. But if people are going to talk about it, we at least need to be intelligent. I [googled](http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0oG7npw2.tOmh8AktBXNyoA?p=michael%20jackson%27s%20nephews&fr2=piv-web) images of MJ’s nephews and nieces. Most–IIRC–are biracial. Notice how none of them look white, by US standards. They look like biracial folks. MJ’s kids like they could have a grandparent who is black, and a parent who is biracial. They do not resemble most biracial people. FWIW, it’s not a big deal to me if they are his bio kids or not; they are his kids regardless. But I don’t think you have to be a big meano to have questions. There are some good reasons to be suspicious. ---

I got curious and did a few look-ups on some resourced family trees and double checked them against a few census images. Direct line, births in 1800, 1831 and 1858. Mulatto, Mulatto and Mulatto. ---

Where the hell did you dig up those random pics? I’ve known people who are black, and I mean unquestionably black, who had noses that would fit in that spectrum. A guy I used to work with comes to mind. The weird think about Paris’ nose is that it looks kinda like MJ’s nose. So, unless she has the same plastic surgeon, that’s a little weird. ---

And the youngest son looks most like Michael post-surgery but before bits started falling off. But he also looks like him pre-surgery and people question his parentage less because he’s got black hair, which is weird really, because it’s fairly common for mixed-race people to end up with fair hair, and also fairly common for white people to have dark hair, but people still put so much emphasis on the hair. ---

One snippet of the interview made me :dubious: Ellen is asking Paris about being an actor, the type of career Paris wants, what acting experiences she may had had so far, etc. As Paris is answering, she gleefully announces “And I can cry on cue!” Ellen says something like really, wow, that’s a tough thing for an actor to do, can you really? Paris emphatically nods her head, boasting about her ability to bust out with the waterworks at will. Wasn’t the funeral the first time we’d ever heard that child speak? Because MJ always tried to shield them? So the first time we hear/see her in front of a camera, she’s bawling. Understandably so, it’s her dad’s funeral, I remember being really glad when Aunt Janet comforted her. But first impression? Stricken saddened little girl. First interview? Hey, didja know I can cry at will? ---
