If it weren’t for the [Michelangelo virus scare](http://www.vmyths.com/fas/fas_inc/inc1.cfm) back in 1992 I wouldn’t have remembered this as Michelangelo’s bihday. I remember that I left my computer turned off for that entire day (turned out I never had the virus). ---

Apparently Googleangelo’s “David” came _without_ the optional penis. Lsura, the alt text on the Google logo will tell you what it’s for, if it’s not the usual. ---

After 2550 posts, we’d all like to think that **Lsura** knows just what a penis is for. D&R 😃 Well, I cut a bit of stone, but roughed out the design in pencil all over it. I wish I had some Bruno Caramella alabaster, its veining makes it look like flesh. ---

I think I see a penis on Google’s David. Except with the size of the graphic combined with the size of the original’s trouser snake (then again, David is positively hung compared to Adam), it’s about 3 pixels big. ---

Look for a large, corpulent guy with thinning grey hair, a grenadier moustache, and glasses with a lady much too good looking to be hanging out with the likes of him. I am the very same person, the guy with no grasp of the language shouting (in English) “how much is it,” and waiving a credit card. To get back to the subject, the Birthday Boy is one of the two pillars of the High Renaissance. His memory and reputation hardly need my feeble comments on his importance and influence. I’m really looking forward to seeing the restored ceiling in the Vatican.
