Aw, **Cranky** , I didn’t mean to cause you [sub]too much[/sub] trauma over it. It’s just ice cream. Cold, smooth, creamy, luscious, chocolate ice cream, with big chunks o’ chocolate swimmin’ in it. And the raspberry - even creamier, with more chocolate chunks… this is just par for the course here at MSU… We have this stuff all the time!! And **Paul** , yup, it’s some of Sparty’s best. Straight from Farm Lane. Except I only sent them 2 half-gallons of the stuff. I think there are laws about sending the good stuff too close to Ann Arbor. **Cranky** , if you put a little bit of chocolate ice cream between 2 chocolate chip cookies, you’ll see God when you take a bite. Hey guys… made it home again safe and all (after dropping off Kathryn). I would be remiss I didn’t thank **Xploder** and his wife for their kind hospitality. And of course, all the dopers present were (and still are) lovely people–but then that goes without saying. {{{ **Scotti** }}} Wish you could have been there too. Don’t worry. Man, what a bummer, I’m so bummed I missed it! I was planning on coming, but the 'rents wouldn’t allow it. They’re outta town as we speak, and yesterday, they saw the directions printed up, saying Dopefest on it. Well, they decided that this was akin to Hash Bash, and so forbade me from going, no matter how much I tried convincing them. It was all over the phone, too, that didn’t help. It sounds like you guys had a blast though, wish I was there! ~Kaz ---

I’m home safely. Had one hell of a time actually getting in to my house–my brand new key, just made this afternoon (because I lost my other one) would NOT work. Good Goddess. I had an utterly MARVELOUS time last night and today. I haven’t had that much fun in a very long time. (((((HUGS)))) to everyone who made it here today–you folks are a truly remarkable bunch. You rock. You positively rock. And a HUGE hats off to **Xploder** and **Mrs. Xploder,** for allowing us in to their home today. Can’t thank you enough, my friends. You are wonderful. ---

Sorry I didn’t check in last night. I ended up driving home because my husband had tied it on a little more than I did. Of course, as usual, I ended up getting us lost. I was fine until we got to Port Huron, then I took a wrong turn and started heading east instead of south. It only took me about a mile before I realized I was going the wrong way and I was able to correct it and eventually found my way home. By the time I got home though, I was practically falling asleep at the wheel, so I ended up walking in the house and going straight to my bed instead of checking in on the computer first. Anyhoo, I was really glad to see all of you again. I would have drank more, but I just knew that I would be the one to end up driving home, so I took it easy. But I’ve never really needed alcohol to have a good time anyway. Let me tell you, the rest of you Dopers missed one hell of a good time. We have to do this again soon. ---

Okay, I just managed to completely delete the post I was almost going to post. I suck. Anyhoo, just wanted to let everyone know that I had a faboo time yesterday. I apologize profusely if I spilled anything on anyone. I seemed to be having a hard time keeping my, um, beverage in my glass. It must’ve been **think’s** back rub…yeah…that’s the ticket. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it. So did the **Tent of Love** ™ get any action last night? Inquiring minds want to know. You know, if I wasn’t married…nah, we won’t go there! 😃 Getting ready to take El **Strainger** to the airport - my _jihad_ to conquer Detroit Int’l has begun. Hope everyone got home safely and without incident. Looking **very much** forward to seeing everyone again at the next one. I say we do a DopeFest at a campground. That’d be way fun. We’d have to get room service and air conditioning for **Juniper** , but maybe we can make arrangements! **Strainger** is insisting that since _he_ made the trip up HERE, we all have to make the trip down THERE. I stand corrected, **BunnyGirl**. And I forgot to mention: yes, \*\*think’s \*\* got great hands! and an **UncleBeer** hug… swooon ! (I can swoon over a moderator, can’t I?) And **Strainger** kindly keeping the 'skeeters away from me. and **Bunny** for bringing the dimetapp I mean grape cordial that made everybody talk funny and **Persephone** being so sweet (she thought I was her age!), and **Medea & Mr. Blue** being so nice and quiet (why do I think they were taping it all for blackmail purposes later?) **Cranky** allowing me to breath 'tho I was wearing a “Mithigan Thate Univerthity” shirt and **xploder/mrs** being so nice as to own a house where a dopefest can easily be held… and **Shadowfox** for arriving before I had to leave, and, and , and, well damn, I **know** I’ll piss somebody off by not mentioning them by name, but did have a swell time. ---

Well, I for one want to thank everyone for coming! I’m still tired as hell for some reason…maybe 'cause the kids were gone…in any case, **thinksnow** got out of here just fine and we’re still wondering when the hell **Uncle Beer** left! Thanks for the laughs and I WILL post the quotes as soon as I’m more awake and aware. Most likely tomorrow but perhaps later tonight. Thanks to everyone that helped clean all the crap up and move the tables and whatnot. Thanks for getting drunk in my backyard and **NOT** puking all over the place 😃 Also, thanks to everyone for putting up with my idiot damn dogs 🙂 There’s already talk about doing this again next year but I dunno…I’m tired as hell and I’m not sure if I could take it again… Xploder ---

I’m glad everyone made it home safely, and no run-ins with the law. 😃 **KAZ,** I am not surprised that it was your parents that put the kibosh on your attendance. Well, another Dopefest come and gone. I’d like to once again offer my thanks to **Xploder** and the Mrs. for a great time, for the comfy couch and all the food (and good god, was there a lot of food!) I’m sure I’ll remember other events later, but I wanted to post a few smiling memories tonight. The piano bar, Friday night, was a great time, lotsa fun, even if it _was_ a den of Michiganders! \ Getting started Saturday, which is to say, after being woken up by the dogs attempting to climb Mt. Snow, but getting started, loading the coolers, witnessing the creation of “George,” seeing **Persephone** make 3-dozen deviled eggs and Beth load up her weight in shimp while I did not much more than move some chairs, well, getting the drinking under way was a good thing. \ [ul][li] **wring** s gift of the super-duper, glow-in-the-dark [sub]trouser[/sub] slug was eerie, but amusing[_] **MrBlue** s description of his cookies was the first hint of the rampant amusement we were in for[_] **Juniper** , as has been noted again and again, was a non-stop giggle factory, creating more work for **Persephone** than she could manage (which will become clear when the quotes are listed)[_]It was nice to meet **Strainger** again, for the first time (you’d have to be either him or me to get that one 🙂 )[_]watching **BunnyBunny** do her little “dance of the bug spray” every 30 minutes while protesting against “George,” insisting on water, but caving anyway, was amusing and strangely erotic…or that might just have been the blood loss.[_]Finding out the secret, what **UncleBeer** knows that everyone else doesn’t was…well, you’ll know when you figure it out[_]A diet of beer, home-made beef jerky, brats, ice cream and “George” makes the hours pass in a very odd manner[_]Bringing the Bocce Balls was simply inspired! What are those wooden balls made of, again?[_]Remember, **X** , drive those mosquito-torches into the ground by the pole, not the torch itself![_]I know nothing of these massages people speak of…and absolutely nothing of a certain Doper saying if it went on any longer, she’d have to wring out her panties[_]Do not attempt to bite chunks out of Guinness cans (or any others, for that matter.) Leave that to the pros.[_] **mrblue** and **Medea** wouldn’t shut up…just yammered all night long \ crazy kids[_] **Shadowfox** , you can pick CD’s any time :)[_]and to everyone that attended the downstairs postings [sub]etc, etc[/sub], thanks for keeping things interesting.[_]Oh!
