a few moments ago, got a call from **Strainger** (ok, so it was a while ago now, cut me some slack please, I’m at work), he arrived safely at the airport, didn’t eat the food, and they’re on their way on the highway (were around Jackson). So, the festing will begin in about an hour (at least on this side 😃 ) ---

Flint Fest begins this evening, around…oh, whatever time everyone gets to the bar. 😃 I myself won’t be arriving until later in the evening (around 8:30 or so), because I’ve got to take my kids to their grandma’s for the weekend (everyone say YAY PERSEPHONE’S MOM!). Does anyone who will be attending tonight’s Flint fest happen to have a cell phone, besides me? I’d like to call when I’m on my way up to the bar. Don’t know what route they took, but they got here safely. We just finished dinner, **Bunny, UncleBeer & Stainger** were going… um some where, I think back to the Bunny house. **RalfCoder** went home, I’m about to go out with my SO and watch him eat dinner. Date night, it’s not just for breakfast anymore. See y’all tomorrow. ---

Sigh… I’m still at work, so no Flintfest tonight. And sorrowfully, I won’t make it there tomorrow either. Family responsibilities (and some more OT at work) had to take precedence. Hey guys, I made it back home without running into any cops (they were out in force on I-75 last night) or drunks (I suspect they were too). And I even got up early enough that I’m going to make my appointment. Had a very nice time with **Xploder, Persephone,** and **thinksnow** (and the non-dopers), but I can understand why **Medea’s Child** wanted to skip it (besides the standing arrangements she has Friday nights, loud social settings are not exactly her thing). The piano players were pretty talented; I was especially impressed by the Hootie impression. Other than the song from _Grease_, which went on _way_ too long, and _Enter Sandman_, which IMHO just can’t possibly be done properly by two guys & synthesized guitar, they did a great job. Should see the rest of you this afternoon! ---

Hey! Just hangin’ here in Xploder’s basement with thinksnow, who is quite fine company. Eggs are done, meat is waiting to be cooked, and I’m still not dressed. Well, I’m dressed, I just don’t look nice. thinksnow has the extreme honor of seeing me with no makeup and very bad hair. **thinksnow** here, she looked lovely, really. Medea is a charming young lady, and I hope I get to see more of her while she’s home from college. mrblue is, of course, his witty and delightful self. Still waiting on the Lansing contingent to get here, but hey…they partied hard last night. I wonder if they’re even awake. 😃 ---

no one’s drunk yet. However, that was about, oh, too long ago. The Jungle Juice is flowing, the Led Zepplin is on the CD player and the food is being consumed. **Juniper** is being the wit of the party. **Persephone’s** hand is cramping up trying right down all her witticisms and she’s passing the baton of Scribe off to someone else. Unfortunately, everyone’s had too much to drink already (and the night is young!), so we’re not sure how much more we’ll be able to record for the posterity of the Board. **UncleBeer** had put up his Tent of Love on the lawn. You know the saying, “if the tent is rockin’, don’t come knockin’.” (don’t tell him I said that!) 😃 ---

We’re still here, and we’re damn funny. Got the Witticisms notes up to about 6 or 7 pages now, and it’s pretty well dominated by Juniper. I aspire to be as quick on the trigger as this young lady is. She is WAY funny. She was cracking me up so badly that I had to give her a 60 minute warning–“nothing funny out of you for an hour, because my hand hurts, dammit!” She’s trying, bless her heart. But you know those naturally funny people. They simply CANNOT pass up an opportunity to be witty. ---
