# Michigan Dopefest!

I’ve been challenged by Least Original User Name Ever to get the Michigan Division of us dopers together for some mirth, drinks, heady conversation, showing dopers where we live by pointing on our left hand, and maybe some pie or someone gets nekkid or something… not sure how these things work… anyway…
I’m in Southeast MI, but I’m not sure I’d want to host, I’m not good at organizing things of this sort. Someone help!

Not to be picky, but the lower peninsula is the right hand. Of course, the left hand can be the upper peninsula if you hold it sideways (but its not to scale).
Hint: You can use a rubber band between your left pinky & your right middle finger to simulate the Mackinac Bridge, if you like. 😉

If you do it this weekend, I’ll be in Detroit! :o
I doubt that’ll happen, but we’re going to a Tigers game on Friday, and who knows what on… actually, I think I’ll start a thread on it. 🙂

That’s only if you go the less popular Palm-Side-Up. But, this senario does make for a nicer LP/UP combo… I’ll give you that. But then how to point?
I always put my Thumb to Middle Finger when doing the LP/UP Ninja Combo Move. I’m curious to see how you’re going about this, now?

Yeah, I live in Chicago now, but am moving back to Michigan (hey, why am I passing all these moving trucks _leaving_ the state?!?) by the end of summer. So, if you don’t have it before July, I’d possibly be in.

And why do you assume that **cymk** was trying to show the lower peninsula? He never said ANYthing about that. I’m getting really sick of the peninsulist behaviors you people exhibit. BOTH peninsulas can be shown using one’s hands; assuming that one is favored over another is blatant peninsulist behavior.

I wanna come! Only I live in NY. But I lived in MI for a good many years as a child and when people ask me “Where did you grow up?” I’ll still say MI. I know where to point on my hand to tell you where I live. (Warren, MI, just outside of Detroit). I remember Hart Plaza.
