# Mickey Mouse - Public Domain

A couple of years ago I saw a documentary about copyright and intellectual property. In that film they said that one of the challenges coming up for the laws governing such things was the fact that Mickey Mouse was due to enter public domain. Since that time I have heard nothing else on the subject. Has anyone else heard what happened in this case?
