# Microsoft appeal to SCOTUS

was denied (the story just moved across the wires).

What were they trying to appeal? I thought that the government was not going to seek a break-up?

And personally, I just don’t get the beef some have with Microsoft. I have been using various products of theirs for years (way back to the old Microsoft Olympic Decathlon game) and I have never had any problems with them.

I haven’t studied it, but there’s plenty that Microsoft is unhappy with. The biggest being that they were found to be a monoploy and to have behaved illegally to maintain that monopoly. That’s illegal and will be somehow punished, even if the governemt is choosing a different form of punishment.
