# Middle-aged and older men: Do your hairdressers trim your ear hair w/o your asking?

I’m 49 and if my ears don’t get a trim once in a while, it looks as though I’m wearing earmuffs. Barbers just trim them when I get my hair cut. My nose hairs don’t seem to be too bad, although I do have a mustache so that could hide any problem. As for eyebrows, I barely have any. Where my younger brothers have thinning hair (and that’s being generous) the only hair I’ve lost seems to have come from my eyebrows.

I find this possibility very disturbing. You could be combing your nose hairs right in with the moustache? :eek:

I don’t have to ask anymore, because I have the barber trained to my tastes. The first 2-3 visits, I had to direct him.
