When his turn comes, Elfstan says, “I would be proud to serve the needs of the North and honored to join the rest of you.”

Inside he wonders if the company is getting side tracked. They came north because of rumors that the Elves of Imladris could use their skills. On the way they were given (and accepted) a commission from the spirits of the safe haven they found. This task seems like neither of those, but then, how could they possibly refuse?
