Like the “Make Poverty History” concerts of a year or two back? Gave everyone such a warm inner glow but achieved exactly nothing? Worse than that, gave people the mistaken belief that they could solve a complex and nuanced issue by turning up to a concert and cheering. You gotta be kidding… ---

I’m still in shock that he joined the ALP. My feeling is that he is currently dying on his knees, whereas before he was living on his feet. And like **BACI** , I wonder how he can live with himself. Then again, he just sang for the Oils. He didn’t write the lyrics. ---

But overall I suspect that MO lyrics about various issues have got some people thinking about and perhaps voting about those issues in a way you wouldn’t otherwise expect. ---

Pretty amazing! As was the performance of the song at the Kev Carmody tribute show, “Cannot Buy My Soul” at the Sydney Festival, again with Paul and Missy, along with Clare Bowditch, Dan Sultan, Steve Kilbey, Glenn Richards, Tex Perkins, Sara Storer and loads of others. That was truly a special performance. ---
