Ahhhh, for good tasting rum, you just can _not_ beat **Stroh**. I used to be a **Captain Morganā€™s** man in college and the few years afterward. I would, on occasion, have a bottle of some fine Caribbean rum ( **Jack Iron, Appletonā€™s, Mount Gay** or the like) but for general drinking, the Captain was where itā€™s at. Then, one day, my friend Chuck introduced me to [stroh](http://www.rum.cz/ascii/galery/eur/at/stroh/) and life changed forever. The sweet smell, the smooth taste might be easy to mistake for some lesser liqueur. The bold ā€œ **80** ā€ on the label might appear to show itā€™s commonality with other rums. The first sipā€¦smooth, a hint of butterscotch and caramelā€¦as it passes the gullet, you notice something and check the bottle again, still enjoying the flavor. _Hmm, it says that itā€™s 80%_ you think, processing that as the first bit of fire erupts in your stomach. :eek: _80%?! Thatā€™s 160 proof! How can something that tastes so delicious be so very, very strong?_ Well, it is and it is delicious. 'nuff said. ---

Itā€™s only hip to get drunk if you are hip when youā€™re drunk. Obviously, some here have a problem with maintaining their hip-ness while intoxicated, so by all means drink those no-buzz carryinā€™ wastes of money. No sweat off my back . . All of those college kids getting stupid drunk and screaming and puking are NOT hip. They are most definately unhip. I do not encourage that behaviour. You see hip is essentially saying the exact right thing and performing the exact right action in every situation. Including drinking. I got no ill will for you if you drink these things, but you definately come across as square, dig? Maybe square is where youā€™re at, and thatā€™s cool. Like, um, the wrong cat the wrong frame of mind. Donā€™t go gettinā€™ razzled and start turninā€™ on your hate machines for me. Iā€™m just spreadinā€™ the gospel of hip. Dig? I hear squaresville ainā€™t so bad once you get used to it. They serve Midori, Zima and a plethra of lite beers from what I understand. People get together and sing their Karaoke and drink watered down alchohol and still get to bed in time for the yarn fair Sunday morning. DaLovinā€™Dj ---
