Given how much we interact with them, I think we should call them “tellers” and use the retronym “human tellers” for the old-fashioned kind. ---

in philly, and surrounding areas, they were called “mac”. “going to tap mac” was the common phrase. atm is a newer term for the mid atlantic zone. ---
