Pence’s fear of the mob out to hang him may have been exceeded only by his caution about those ostensibly protecting him, given the way he said, “_ **I’m not getting in the car, Tim.** _” ---

I think he felt they were going to spirit him away so he couldn’t validate the votes. Hes not that stupid. ---

I mean, technically, we don’t 100% know that this year’s choice for Trump VP is _not_ Pence. It’s not like he has integrity, ethics, a spine, or a personality… I imagine there is some combination of money and perceived approbation from God that would put him back in the slot.
