[QUOTE=Frank]
Not geese. The best you can get out of a goose around here is that if you steer to one side and keep going slowly it will begrudgingly waddle out of the way while glaring at you.

Highland sheep are a bit like this. The nightmare scenario is performing an emergency stop, the sheep staring at you for a glacial age whilst it’s tiny tiny brain processes the fact that you are bigger than it, and then it decides to turn round and amble down the road so that you have to follow it at five miles an hour for half a mile until it eventually remembers that it has the option to turn left or right. Stupid sheep. Tooting the horn has no effect on these creatures, and neither does shouting “I shall eat your children!” out the window.

Not that many folk will target them or anything, they’re pretty big birds! I’ve also had a pheasant - with plenty time to get off the road - take flight and fly headlong into my windscreen. I ate that one.

That’s the type of scenario that I’m completely with you guys on. Besides, it not like you let it go to waste. 😉

This is one of two exceptions to the rule. The other is if it’s pointing a gun at you.

See **Frank** ’s post. Also, if the guy is driving through a parking lot at a speed in which he is capable of rolling his van, then we’re dealing with a whole 'nother Pit thread.

Waste not, want not ;). It’s a pity that the much tastier (IMO) grouse tends not to commit suicide-by-vehicle. Deer do sometimes, but you really don’t want to hit one of them.
