So what…? ) you can feel FREE …to buy it at a bookstore. After you buy it, I don’t care if you roll pot up in the fly-leaf page and smoke it. But this whole, “Whaaa…! I think it’s telling that you immediately take a mean-spirited position like this when there’s a much simpler and more charitable explanation for some posters defending **Beck** , namely that they feel empathy for her. There have been several instances in which **Beck** has been fairly criticized in a non-hostile fashion and has promised to correct the pertinent problems. She’s not out to piss anybody off; in the contrary, she’s formed a sort of emotional attachment to the board, where she shares her everyday adventures and, yes, on occasion dares to offer an opinion on a controversial issue. She also suffers from serious health issues yet somehow manages to live each day with a cheerful optimism, whether she’s teaching her dog to “speak” with message buttons, adopting a stray cat, befriending an opossum, or undergoing one of her regular dialysis sessions. So yes, there’s a significant element of empathy and compassion when I see her being sneeringly maligned, because I’m pretty sure that she finds those attacks very hurtful, and is probably genuinely mystified by the enormity of this pile-on. ---
