I ordered some Italian charm links for a bracelet project the little girls are working on. I guess I was low on the frustration scale today so they dumped them in my lap to link together. OMG. I’m ready to toss the whole shittin’marie into the pond. The flimsy little tool is Stoopid!! It barely works. I’m now using a metal fingernail file and an awl. Still cannot do it. I need a third hand or a hammer. Gahhhh!! ---

If you come across a cheerful brightly coloured bunch of mushrooms, “effusion” seems like a good descriptor. Aside from its gross medical meaning, “effusion” refers to a sudden and unrestrained expression of a strong and usually joyful emotion. Is it **technically** the right word to use here? No, but whenever I pedantically critique someone’s word usage, I’m told by the anti-pedants that “language changes” and I should shut up. So there. Language changes. You just changed it. ---

🧐 should I call the doctor? I like your language pendantry. I like words. I often use them incorrectly. It feels good someone else is minding the “meanings” and use of such words. I can happily just listen to the sound of it spoken. Usually in my mirror practicing speaking them. I thank you Mr. Pup. ---

Activity update: I had to run. Jojo the trash cat was wandering around the yard. You know he’s a tiny little thing for an adult cat. I looked up and saw an owl. This owl lives in my trees. I think it may eating for 4(eggs)because it’s hunting at odd times. Not sure how that works in ornithology. But I was determined she wasn’t getting a Jojo nugget. So I ran out to the the brush to catch him up. He was quite perturbed seems he was in a hunt as well. We got back to the garage and I gave him some kitty crack and he loves me anew. Just gotta remember to wash my hands before I encounter the Siamese. They would not be amused at the scent of kitty crack on my fingers. Jealous Jerks. 😄 ---

Things to take note on: First day of summer(?). Father’s Day. I had a date to a matinee. Rather short notice and a short escort. Me and Ivy and the grand-daughters went to see the Lil’wrekker star as Elle in the stage play "_Legally Blond"._ A silly piece of fluff with a fake Chihuahua.(We tried our outlaw Chihuahuas. Nope, no dice). The Lil’wrekker looked and sounded amazing. Her dancing? Well, we skip over discussing that. 😶 Fun times. I’m sick of the music. I’ve been hearing it rehearsed for 3 weeks. I’m over it. But dated up beck had a time. Love and kisses, beck ---

I was looking in a mirror and plucking my eyebrows. Why? I don’t know. But one does it. I was thinking this old table and mirror were my Mother’s. I’m sure she acquired it from her family. So, no telling how old it really is. (The stool came from somewhere else) Why do people hang on to these kinda things? I wonder how many times she sat doing her hair or makeup. It makes me feel close to her. In a way. Then I thought dang I need to dust this table. Flicked the light off and walked out. I don’t tarry at mirrors. Love b. ---

I wouldn’t even call it “cruel”, just mean. And I interpret her second response as a way to fix the unintended interpretation. The part that rankles, I think, is the lack of an apology. If she’d said something like “I’m sorry. I didn’t intend for that to come off as mean. I really should work on my phrasing,” I don’t think anyone would have objected. I mean, I even kinda see what she was getting at: this board does care more than average about proper spelling and grammar. Smaller mistakes will be overlooked, but we will look down on someone who misses the basics. And a playful “warning” about this is not uncommon. Just not when they’re not native speakers. (And it has gotten a lot better than it used to be.) ---
