O’Brien also watched his future self die, and ended up dying himself and getting REPLACED by another self in that same episode. I often forget that the O’Brien we ended the series with, was not the same one who started the series.
I forgot about the Changeling impersonation in “Homefront/Paradise Lost”. (One of those episodes in the two parter.) That was a good scene.
In the TOS episode “Catspaw” Lt DeSalle got to sit in the captain’s chair when the top four were imprisoned on the planet. He was making progress in removing the force field when one of the aliens changed sides and removed.
Yes - in fact, if I remember the timing of his kidnapping and then return, it was actually the imposter Dr. Bashir who delivered the O’Briens’ second child, wasn’t it?
I tend to agree, certainly until Troi passed the starship-command course. After that, it’d be a closer call. Troi showed in “Face of the Enemy,” for instance, that she could be both smart and tough: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Face_of_the_Enemy_(episode).
I don’t recall if Changeling Bashir delivered the O’Brien baby, but he definitely performed brain surgery on Sisko in the episode when he had visions from the Prophets. That was the debut of the “First Contact” uniforms for DS9, and when the real Bashir is seen in the Dominion prison camp, he’s wearing the older style.
A Changeling infiltrator performed brain surgery on Captain Sisko. THERE’S a frightening thought. I’d feel safer if he’d helped Kira deliver the baby.
