This is mildly NSFW, even though it was on Network television. She is basically wearing a capelet with large pasties, but no shirt. So, fair warning! And honestly, she starts to almost make sense about the whole topless lifestyle thing, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about. Pause the tape, and go to 3:19. What on Earth has happened to her arms? It looks like an autopsy photo from some brutal murder. Could they be bruises from getting blood drawn? Some people have that happen to them. Mostly it doesn’t happen to me (or doesn’t show) because I have brown skin, but at least once the whole underside of my arm was bruised because of a bad blood draw. It looked rather similar to those patches. ---

They look like tattoos to me. The camera is too far away to catch much detail, and the bright stage lights wash out the color. So they look faded. ---

I have this (admittedly crazy) theory that’s she’s asexual. She tries all these different things to be “sexy,” but they always come across like someone who has observed HYOO-MONS but is not actually one of them. She doesn’t seem to “get” sexy. \ ---

I just watched the whole clip. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen her interviewed and I have say, although I can’t stand her music, I now think she’s an exceptionally intelligent and remarkably cool person. ---

Not saying she doesn’t have a fantastic figure and all that but feminine she’s not, despite trying real hard to make us think otherwise. I would also agree that in many ways she’s quite intelligent but the sound of her voice makes me homicidal. ---

Yea, I don’t really have an opinion on her (and only sort of vaguely know who she is) but she comes off wittier than your average young musician or movie star interview. Her boobs as conversation piece gimick works pretty well. As to the OP, they’re obviously her tattoos, blurred out either by the worlds worst concealer, or because the camera shooting her has to be back away from the stage so as not to block the audiences view, and so they have to zoom in, making the fine detail stuff on her arms look blurry. ---

They are not trying to mold themselves into something that will be attractive to you, (or anybody else) they are expressing their own sexuality. When they run into other HYOO-MONS with whom their desires and curiosities resonate, marvelous! But they are in no way trying to be what will turn you on. ---
