Probably seen them sometime between the 90’s to early 2000’s, but they could have been made sometime earlier. If someone could supply the titles, I would be grateful, google is inundated with anime, but sub genres are surprisingly hard to wade through. First is a mars type enviroment, with star wars style land crawlers, but longer. Instead of fighter planes, this carrier would discorge motorcycles of some kind. _not Macross_ possibly two separate movies,that looked like they were set in tokyo, at least one of them had a zepplin/blimp traverse the city disgorging what looked like poison gas, for the point of view to change from not wearing gas masks, to wearing gas masks, in just a frame The second looked like a coup de’tat was happening in Japan, and the protagonists were concerned about american intervention. Huh. I was a big fan of Patlabor, and I know I saw both movies…don’t remember that at all. I guess I’ll have to rewatch them sometime. ---

Update First movie was venus wars Patlabor was not the other movie, Im still looking for that one. Declan ---

Dang, another case among the many examples I have seen of how our [“scumbag” brains](http://www.quickmeme.com/Scumbag-Brain) do put a “block” on the solution by actively telling us that the actual solution can not be it. ---

Unless the copy of the movie I watched was maybe misnamed. Declan
