Pretty close to where I lived in Luxmanor, but we moved to Philadelphia in 69.
It sounds like a private military museum/park, like the one near me (Cantigny) which I mentioned upthread.
My guess would be that it was established and funded by a local resident who is (or was) a military buff, and who may or may not have had any connection to the college.
