I don’t think any military that uses larger than 30 round AR style magazines. Larger appearing magazines can also be pinned to 10 or whatever size while appearing larger.
Magpul D60 drums are becoming the new hotness, as the Marine Corps experiments with getting rid of beltfeds for the light machine gun role in the infantry squad . Or at least, dumping the M249 SAW.
Old cite, and doesn’t mention the D60, but it is supposed to be a very reliable, tough drum mag. For 125 bucks MSRP, not that .Gov will pay that, of course, it had better be.
Oh, I know militaries have used drum mags, mostly notably the 75 round RPK, but I’m not sure if any standard assault rifle configurations do.
