Noting that the BSE-positive cow found in the US was a dairy cow, it occurred to me that there should be someone looking into the effects (if any) of drinking milk from BSE-positive cattle, but I’m not finding any references. Is anyone out there researching this, or has it been dismissed as a non-threat? And if it’s been dismissed as a non-threat, on what grounds?

As far as is known today, the prions are only present in brain and spinal matter. So the milk should be safe.
