So, ABC is bringing back Who Wants to be a Millionaire with a very stupid twist. They’re going to feature front line heroes. Maybe I’m ice cold, but no, no and hell no. Yes, they’re heroes that worked 12 hours a day, 6 days a week without proper PPE. I’m just so sick of Covid dominating everything and if I’m watching Millionaire, I want an escape. It’s really similar to the year or so after 9/11 with everything focused on first responders. A game show should be an escape and even when you’re stuck rooting for an IRS worker who’s way too smug to win the million, it’s better than being bombarded with more reminders of something you’d like to escape. Yes, I know I can not watch or change the channel. Just a rant, that’s all. ---

I’d be quite happy with a clean reboot of an hour long Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Let’s bring back The Weakest Link while we’re at it. ---

They did. It’s already aired several episodes. Jane Lynch is the new host. It’s on on Mondays (if tv schedules have meaning to you) ---

I watched Millionaire last night and it sucked ass. The questions started out easy and stayed that way. That celebrity they had on who didn’t even know that a woodchuck was a real thing got on my last nerve. Apparently that’s her schtick, to be loud and scatterbrained, but I hated it. Then they had a firefighter on, but again, no hard questions, they just wanted to give him some money.
