Okay, it’s summer in the midwest. It’s a _challenging_ climate, with huge temperature swings. Talking about the weather won’t change it. But I’m sick, sick, sick and TIRED of this sweltering heat. And what we’ve had is nothing compared to the folks in TX, OK, etc. :::pitiful, thin screaming::: The humidity is so high the air feels like a damp blanket. The sun just keeps broiling, but it won’t _rain_. All the moisture just hangs in the air while the ground parches. Animals suffer dreadfully, seeking out shade and water and just enduring. People take shelter as possible and try to drag through normal activities. Forget this wordy crap; I’m just exhausted, tapped out and so physically _miserable_ from this godawful heat. There is absolutely no point to this post. It’s just a wailing vent for pure misery. 'Scuse me while I pump the lion’s foot tub full of cool water and soak again. (And I’m blessed enough to sleep in airconditioning!) Veb ---

I’m going to need a refresher course on Rain,if it ever does rain here. And Hot? we just passed Day 12 of continous 100+ temps here in MS,which is amazing for us. Course, it’s been like this most of the summer. We’ve even made it up to 107,which is an all time high. I’ll faint if it ever rains. ---

Well, I spent the last two and a half weeks in Mississippi, and now that I’m in New York I feel cold again. I’m constantly cold up here – I wear jeans and tshirts while my friends prance around in small clothing fanning themselves and bitching about the heat… I LOVED it in Mississippi, in the 90’s the whole time. It would’ve been different if the housse I was staying in didn’t have air conditioning though I’ll trade weather with you if you want… ---

The weather in Michigan has been nothing but _weird_ this summer. It’s rained. A lot. We’ve only had a handful of muggy days, and those have mostly been happening within the last week & a half. The nights, which are usually hot in the summer, have been comfortable. This is NOT normal for Michigan, and it’s driving those of us with less-than-perfect sinuses out of our minds. And the mosquitoes this summer are the Mosquitoes From Hell. I have never seen this many mosquitoes in Michigan, and I’ve lived here all my life, and spent half of it living on a lake. ---

Saint Zero – My sister’s a bartender down on the Coast, and I was visiting her and my brother-in-law as an excuse to escape the cold. Also I wanted to visit the Mississippi State campus up in Starkville.
