Okay, so I’ve been playing some minecraft and they just added a new weapon called a spear. Every website I’ve visited for stats gives me something different. is anyone willing to note down the damage for every spear variant’s jab mechanic?

not right at this moment, but it does depend on what attack you use, and a bunch of other stuff. The wiki has a lot of info and is usually reliable:

It still does way less damage than a sword. I can see how in the early game it’s a nice option because you use one less iron/copper/whatever.

It gives you more reach. You can hide in a crack and poke your spear at monsters.
The sword is still the default weapon.

yeah, however, late game it’s really good with elytra combat
