I didn’t see it as a joke or a serious “God loves Obama!” piece, but more as a “You don’t know what God wants or means, so just love your fellow human beings!” message. He basically came right out and said that at the end–the whole thing was pretty much a “Don’t look for messages from God in disasters. You don’t know the mind or motives of God. Just come together and help the victims!” ---
