I arrived first and must admit that I was quaking in my Reeboks at the thought of meeting alla deese new people who know about my **Green Plug**. Thankfully, all nervousness dissapated (sp?) soon after the first few Dopers made their appearances… **Rysdad** was first; we made eye contact briefly, looked away… oh wait, he saw my SDMB sign. He’s one of us! Very nice man… said he had to take off to pick up Ry by 1:00 PM. **Ethilrist** was the next arrival. He explained that his username was also the name of a sword. Translation: Elf cleaver (did I get that right, Ethy?). Skeeery. **Punkyova** came next and immediately ran off to grab her lunchtime fare… More intrigue on the food front later. **Osbie** , **Beadalin** , **NurseCarmen** and **Dangerosa** showed up around the same time… we all jumped in line and grabbed our food. **MissTake** was the last arrival. Nine Dopers, including yours truly. **rubes** , **lno** and **Q.N. Jones** were sorely missed. For some strange reason, the three men were relegated to one end of the table… At the girly end of the group, we talked about the board… Names that came up include **Satan** , **Krispy Original** , someone named **Rev…** ( **MissTake** , who was the guy with the funny Pit rant? I spoke of my crush on **Ukulele Ike**. We talked about **Lynn Bodoni** , a certain poster temporarily labeled as "Asshat, **TubaDiva** and **UncleBeer**. “Gotcha ya!” came up on our end, too… The **Green Plug** came up, but only because I brought it up. What a great bunch of people… I, for one, felt very comfortable; I was among friends. We all agreed to do it again soon, but next time _with alcohol_. I now humbly request that the lovely and talented (actually studly and goateed) **NurseCarmen** to tell us about what went on at the manly end of the festivities. ---

As per normal, I was _“fashionably”_ late 😉 BUT, Upon seeing the very neatly appointed SDMB sign (laminated even!), I knew I was in the right place. And yes, **Gazelle** has a HUGE intellect. It was double parked out back of the restaurant. If anyone wants quick mini-dope lunches, you shall find my fat arse parked at Kieran’s every Monday and Wednesday from 11:30-12:00. (Oh, and of course, whilst I was “at work” with y’all, the proverbial pooh hit the fan at work. _sigh_) ---

Well, since I’m a bass player, my ears are shot, so I ended up saying “huh?” alot, but I’ll attempt to raise some highlights. **Ethilrist** and I are both computer geeks that cannot be fired. If we were, our respective companies would be fairly screwed. Job security, ya gotta love it. **Punkyova** and **Rysdad** discussed the fact that medicine is still practiced with sledge hammers and leeches. At least that was my take. Asshat was mentioned. F_cktard and McF_ckstick as well. ---

I didn’t get into trouble per se, but I received an IM, phone call, and e-mail from a co-worker wondering if I was okay, as I am usually so attentive **HA!!** I glossed over the extended absence with a “Well, yanno…What do you need?” 😉 ---
