Watched jay Leno Monday (Headlines) and he was all over the divorce story, implying over and over again that Liza’s soon to be ex was gay. So…is he? If so, why didn’t he just come out and say it? And why would Liza marry him then? Did she not know? ---

I don’t know if he’s gay or not. All I know is that he is so fucking creepy-looking he makes Michael Jackson look human. No, I don’t have a link- I don’t want to have nightmares again. ---

He’s been seen without the shades, he has not, however, been seen with a soul. So long as I’m being catty – before David sues Liza for divorce, he should sue the plastic surgeon who performed his last four facelifts. Ouch. ---

As to **vanilla** ’s question of why she would marry a gay man–well, I don’t know that much about her, but AFAIK, she is very emotionally unstable and susceptible to being taken advantage of. At the time of the marriage, it was widely suspected that he was gay and was marrying her for his own personal gain. He probably acted in whatever way she wanted to make her think she was in love with him. Any normal person could see that the guy was a creep, but Liza Minnelli is a few Darvon short of a bottle. ---

David what’shisface is gay? And in other not-news, Brittany Spears is not a virgin, and Michael Stipe and George Michael are also gay. If I were Liza Minelli (hooboy, that’s a sentence I never thought I’d type), I wouldn’t divorce him over the gayness. I would divorce him over the “I can’t stand to look at your creepy mug” issue. Of course, he may be a perfectly nice gentleman, and I’m just a shallow, small-minded person. (You’re a bad, bad person, **Eve**. Please never change.) ---

I don’t find him all that creepy (I know, I know…I’m the Lone Ranger). And he’s gajillions of dollars richer than Liza, so money wasn’t the object. Yeah, she’s a bit unstable, but I don’t think the marriage was a fake. Maybe ill-advised, but I think they really dug each other. ---

Well, just because they dig each other doesn’t mean they should be married to each other. Particularly if he’s gay. Sooner or later there’s going to be some competition that Liza won’t be able to stand up to. I think they were just really good friends who took the phrase “I love you, man!” a little too far, eh? ---

I saw the happy couple on V Graham Norton the other night, taped prior to their first anniversary. David Gest referred to their wedding as the “quote wedding.” Other insightful comments from him that night included “I love heavy people.” Later in the show Andy Bell of Erasure was on and he said that working with the other guy in Erasure was like a marriage, only one was gay and the other straight. Graham said “one gay, one straight? That’s a marriage!” Liza laughed uproariously. I’d have paid real money for a shot of David at that moment.
