Many of those were common to both Jew and goyim, pre-expulsions, what happened was that the “typically Jewish” ones got tossed at that point. ---

This would have been better if it had turned in to a good cat fight. I’m wagering Mint could kick the shit out of Jeanie. Hard to say though. All I know is that in a good cat fight, we all win. I’m still scratching my head as to why Jeanie really cared in the first place. Did Mint steal her thunder in another lifetime or reject her as a lover or is she perhaps just as much Dramatic Royalty? I’d bow but I’m afraid as gassy as I am it would come across as rude. I feel a good dump coming on and at my age you don’t waste those opportunities. Nevertheless, back to your regularly scheduled hijacks. Carry on. ---

Actually, Shimon Peres was born Simon Persky in Poland; he changed it to Peres because it sounded more Israeli. Also, unlike the Spanish name, it’s pronounces PEH-ress, not Peh-RES. ---

Thanks for providing a sample of exactly the kind of confusion we’re talking about 🙂 People from Parts Elsewhere confuse Portuguese and Spanish lastnames, hypercorrect them, mispronounce them… all the time. Same as we do with those which are exotic to us, of course. ---

I think there is a certain type of person who will have looked at the umkay thing and thought, “mmm, wish I had been the one to expose her, I could have gotten some sexy e-cred and respect from the smelly masses.” So there will be people on the look out for the next board drama, keen to be the first to proclaim it all a hoax so that they can then bask in the glory of being the first to spot the troll. Quite sad really, and probably Ed Zottis fault. ---
