> And at 21.99$ (+ shipping) for a 7 oz bag, you can’t afford NOT to buy them.

I think you read that wrong. The Canadian site says ten 7 oz packages for $25 + $13 for shipping and handling. The more you spend the more you save…

Of course you aren’t going to want the extra 6 packages if you don’t like the first one. So checking your local Asian grocery is still probably the best place to start.

> Thanks, Rushgeekgirl, I had not known about that site. I’ll check it out. I don’t mind Dreamfield’s either, taste/texture-wise, but I have some doubts about their true carb content.

Definitely invest in a julienne peeler if you don’t have one. I love having the zucchini or squash peeled into noodles. They have more flavor than any high carb noodles.

When I have the Dreamfield’s I try to only use about half a serving just in case. It’s sufficient when I get big hunks o’ meat in the sauce.

I have one of those mandolin-style veggie slicers up on a shelf somewhere. I wonder if it has a julienne attachment. How long do you cook julienned squash, and what variety do you use?
