Speaking of hilarious spoof Westerns anyone remember a TV movie from the 70s called _Evil Roy Slade_? Very very funny with virtuoso comedy performances by John Astin as Slade and Dick Shawn as Marshal Bing Bell (the guy who played Hitler in _The Producers_.) ---

Still fun - though obviously made for TV. The portrayal of Slade going to psychotherapy was a hoot! BTW, it also starred Henry Gibson of Laugh-In fame, and Pamela Austin from the original Twilight Zone episode where the homely girl gets plastic surgery because everyone does in her society. There were a lot of parody Westerns in the 70s. Anyone else remember “Support Your Local Sheriff” and “Support Your Local Gunfighter”? ---

When I was between the ages of 10 and 14 Blazing Saddles was the absolute greatest movie ever. It had sex, fart jokes, taboo words, etc. I think it was written to appeal to adolescent boys. When I was a teen and Spaceballs came out I thought it was the stupidest movie ever. It was later replaced by Men in Tights.
