Now that’s funny.
Being in Miami I think of the nearby country about 50 times for each time I think of the distant river.
And I try to think of DC as little as possible recently but even then I tend to think “DC”, not the words the initials stand for.
That you of all Dopers chose to ping me is especially … something. Thank you.

I read “service” as a command to service men, with “service” meaning the livestock sense. Which would make sense if it were a service owner telling his new employee what to do to their customers with non-free estimates.

I assumed this was a chess thread and went in to report it for a forum change to the Game Room, when I realized it was about a Christmas carol. I mean, “good king” (as in white, right?) “win”, and “chech” looks like “check”–I thought I’d see one of those mindbending chess puzzles, likely with a paradox involved or something, hence **Bec** ’s exasperation trying to figure out how to checkmate the bugger.

For sure that one makes a lot more sense if you are already familiar with the industry buzzword noun phrases “worried well” and “data hunger”. If those combos are new to any reader, then yeah, they’re gonna struggle with where to chop the sentence apart for parsing.
