Vdry? And I thought my typing was bad 🙂 Yes I know that. But, like I said even I know who Tracy Lords is. If you choose a name that is either someone famous or someone way more famous don’t get all bent if most folks think its for the more famous person. ---

And I know who Tracy Lord is, along with CK Dexter Haven. The idea that a person’s username makes her subject to sexist commentary after she specifically asked that it stop is crazy. ---

She genuinely seemed befuddled over the whole thing ( and it is Traci Lords with an “I” vs. Tracy Lord ) and as I recall did claim she got the name from _The Philadelphia Story_. I don’t find it incomprehensible she hadn’t been exposed to enough porn or B movies to recognize the other version. 'course she could have been having her fun with the whole thing, but it wouldn’t be bizarre if it were true. Giving her the benefit of the doubt seems like the reasonable default. ---

There is a long history of porn stars creating stage names that sound like the names of famous actors or characters, and casting aspersions on a poster because you can’t be bothered to tell the difference is wrong. ---

I, and others I know, have never seen the play, the movie, the screenplay, the real life story based upon the highlights of the puppet show or read the tea leaves of “The Philadelphia Story”. Since I don’t consider misogyny to be limited to overt displays of anger, it’s irrelevant and I’m disappointed at your attempt to use etymology to excuse bad behavior. ---

Large note: The names are spelled diferently(Traci Lords vs. Tracy Lord), and she has already said that she named her character after the one in _The Philadelphia Story_. If you think women are stupid, but you just love them to pieces anyway, are you a misogynist? I say yes. If you say no, I don’t think you’re using the word the way people generally use the word. ---
