Many years ago I saw a movie marquee that, due to some crowding of letters, appeared to be hawking the latest CUNT EASTWOOD movie. Wish I had a camera phone in those days.

I was reminded of this in a shop this week when I saw a DVD with the alluring title **Puke Dancer**. Imagine my disaapointment when I discovered that it was merely C.Thomas Howell’s masterwork [Pure Danger](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117406/).

Any other examples, or is it just me?

It’s not just you. Heck, I started [my own thread on the topic](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=301363) a while back.

I must have missed that one, as I didn’t post in it, but I do have one that I didn’t quite misread, but…

Anyway, Die Hard and Cocktail were playing in the same theatre. Maybe I misread it, or maybe it was a prank, but I swear the letters in the marquee read:

Die Tail
Hard…

Years ago I worked in a bookstore across the street from Chicago’s Biograph, where one week they had on their marquee: “Wayne’s World - A Perfect World.”

I couldn’t agree more.

I remember once passing a marquee that displayed several titles and ran out of room. So running all the way to the edge of the marquee was “Muppet Christ.”

Boggle.

Several years back, remember the movie “Star Fighter?” Our local theater – and this is no joke and not a hoax – listed it for about a half a day as “Star Fucker.”

I remember seeing a drive-in marquee playing the following 3 movies:

Erin Brokovich
Screwed
My Dog Skip

What a Lucky dog.

Inside our local theater, at the doors to the individual movies, they have a scrolling lighted sign with the name of the movie and the status, such as Now Showing or Now Seating.

It cracked me up to see Now Cleaning _Private Parts_.

I have a book which is various photographs which were sent in to _National Lampoon_. One of the funnier ones was a movie marquee advertising three films:

**THE FLY
GODS MUST BE CRAZY
ALIENS**

Their comment is, “I never did trust those fly gods.”
