# Misread thread titles

[I don’t grok the Newsom dislike among enraged Democrats](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/i-don-t-grok-the-newsom-dislike-among-engaged-democrats/1033980).

Any Democrat who _isn’t_ enraged isn’t paying attention, whether or not they like Newsom.

Alternatively, I sometimes mis_interpret_ it as saying that they refuse to use Musk’s AI to find out about Newsom dislike. Which is one reason to dislike the “Torment Nexus” style of tech bro naming things after popular sci fi/fantasy concepts. Although to be a truly classical Torment Nexus you have to be named after something _bad_ like Palantir, but obfuscating the meaning of “grok” is similar.
