**Nymysys** celebrates her first anniversary at the Dope this very day. I love Nymmy. You love Nymmy. Joey Hemlock wants to _be_ Nymmy. She puts up Dopers at her house, and says funny things like ‘hell on a cracker’ and is smart and skinny and beautiful and wunnerful and she’s cool and she rules. I wish only to make Nymmy happy. Join me in congratulating her, and wishing her well. Make her soup, or buy her some Jalapeño cheese dip. And crackers. Make her a scarf. Dance for her amusement. Buy her a monkey butler. Great googly moogly. You Krazy Kids. I was too busy reading the damn Repost Your First Post Thread to even see this. I have to watch you guys every single minute, don’t I? Well, let’s see. How can I sum up this past year? This year I’ve: \*Met 487 new friends, a couple-dozen very good friends, and four people I would get run over by a truck full of mad midget monkeys and die for. \*Went on dates with…geez. FIVE dopers. No wonder I have this reputation. \*Went to gods-alone-know-how-many ChiDopes. Hosted a few, too. \*Started in GD, found MPSIMS all quick-like and in a hurry. Continue to reign Queen Supreme over here. In my mind, anyway. \*Found chat. Stopped posting so much glurge. Boards celebrate. \*Got engaged. \*Five times. \ ***Kidding. I’m KIDDING, people.** \*Was employed maybe six months out of this year. Maybe. \*Sent out well over 400 resumes and went on 40-some-odd interviews. \*Took one UK and one OZ vacation to visit dopers. Came back from both, despite wagers to the contrary. Also visited LA, NYC and CT for dopers, and hosted several that have come through Chi. \*Had a doper roommate when I joined, now have a different doper roommate. \*Learned that Mods Are People, Too. Even Coldy. \*Laughed my arse off. \*Cried twice as hard as that. \*Quit smoking three times. \*Started again. Three times. \*Had a Pit war with someone, then later made up and became friendly. [sub]HI, Nacho4Sara![/sub] \*Jodi said I make her laugh. That one sticks with me. \*Posted way too many times, including times when I said too much, when I didn’t say what I wanted to say at all, when I said things no one was interested in, and, on one occasion or two, when what I said mattered to somebody, somewhere. You guys are great. This has been, hands down, the absolute worst year of my life. The mere fact that I haven’t completely lost my shit is attributed largely to you all here. You’ve distracted me, entertained me, supported me, and sometimes yelled at me to turn OFF the computer, go OUTSIDE and PLAY, dammit! :raises glass: \*\*Here’s to the next year being better, to friends that stick together, to being Mundane and Pointless (although I usually use the P for Personal, but whatever), and the server hamsters never slowing down. Happy Birthday to me!\*\* ---
