# Missed votes in the House

Is there any easy way to get a “missed votes” report for my rep in the US House?

The Clerk of the House of Representatives does not produce authoritative voting records broken down by member on an on-going basis. The Clerk might still produce a printed year-end summary of a member’s legislative record (including stuff like what amendments and bills he got passed, what legislation he cosponsored, and how he voted), but I cannot find them online.

Most voting studies are done by political opponents or independent Congress-watchers. Go to Congressional Quarterly – [www.cq.com](http://www.cq.com) – and look up the member you’re interested in. There should be historical voting records, but it appears that they don’t have any tabulated for 2004.

When I clicked this thread open, I looked at **cheddarsnax’s** Location line, to see if I could guess who the Congressfool was. However, I don’t recall any reps from **Nowhere.** :smack:
