Are we done with new developments for now? Today was really a corker! I need to catch my breath and try to get some work done with what’s left of the day. Based on how long it’s taking to preview and post, I’d guess the hamsters need a breather too. This just might be the best thread ever. ---

There’s a lot that I’d like to respond to, but first I have to say that **Sylkyn** hit the nail on the head. We (or at least I) _do_ consider every single thing she says to be dubious, at best, because she does tell countless lies for no apparent reason. And I did wonder if Friend’s whole tale of clandestine marriage was a lie (not on Friend’s part, but on MC’s). But if the only “evidence” that anyone has is based on her lies, then she’s the one who screwed herself. **Maureen** , according to Friend, MC may have been married as long ago as April; that “medical testing” trip (wherein MC phoned Friend with news that she’d gotten married) was supposed to run April 19-April 30, but she didn’t return until May 5. And yes . . . I didn’t mean to let names slip, but his name is Elmer. He looks nothing like Don Knotts, though. ---

Just so y’all know, I’ll be out of the office (and away from my computer!) all day tomorrow and most of the day Friday. Damn good thing we got a break in the case today, eh? BTW, I veto Piper Laurie as Tongue Lady. She’s too pretty. Tongue Lady looks more like George Burns. ---

He’s just a little more weird and creepy than Christopher Lloyd, although not as funny. Actually Harry Dean Stanton (is he still alive?) might be good in any of several roles for this thing. Aside to **auntie em** : somebody had you cast before as Cree Summer. Is that who you look like? Assuming that you couldn’t play you, who would you cast as you? And who would you cast as MC? ---

Dude, you think _I_ wanna potentially miss the showdown? I’m dying, here! But aside from failing to show up to this 2-day meeting I’ve arranged (and we all know where THAT gets ya), I’m SOL. I’m having a hard time picturing her waltzing in here with her tail sticking up, though. I’m guessing she won’t want to face us. At any rate, here’s hoping that she won’t want to until next week (or until after about 3 pm on Friday). ---

Another lurker checking in. I don’t think I recall **Skip** getting an actor. May I suggest George Hamilton? He (George) hasn’t had a real job in ages. Besides, the tan bit surely must mean he’d be taking **Auntie Em** to Belize all the time. ---

When people call to have money wired to them, there’s usually a sense of urgency and despair involved. When they call maybe sounding kinda funny and don’t say where they are and don’t call back like they said, it suggests the call was made under duress. One possibility is duress caused by a jerk standing next to them with a loaded pistol. This could be a relatively benign situation, but I sure see lots of red flags. ---

I think she’s adorable (if a bit kooky, but then so am I), so I wouldn’t mind. 😉 A long time ago, one of my best friends decided that J.Lo (before she was J.Lo) should play me in the movie of my life. I didn’t mind it THEN, but now . . . ick. So the only other choice is Valerie Bertinelli. Yep. For some reason, a lot of strangers have told me that I look like her. 😕 As for MC, let’s see . . . I sent the thread to Tuba Diva for threadspotting … actually I sent the previous one, but I’m sure she’ll figure it out. I also sent it to Scott Adams, when the Dilbert references came up, I just couldn’t help myself. And I think Christopher Walken should be meter guy - he can do creepy so well, and he is _such_ a funny guy, I’m sure he’d love this story.
