# Missing episode of Mythbusters...

So there was a cool-looking episode of scheduled for last Wednesday (a “viral special” where they were gonna test stuff they’d seen on online videos).

However it never appeared, instead they should a old repeat in its place (here they did at least here on the West coast). Anyone have any theories as to what happened to it ? Have they just quietly canned the whole show ? (seems unlikely seeing as they must finished new episodes to show, as they’ve been previewing them)

[Earlier thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=479356) on this topic. I believe the consensus was that Discovery channel decided to pre-empt their scheduled programming on the assumption that everyone was watching the Olympics.
