# Missing info at bottom of SDMB main forum page

I no longer see the statistics displayed at the bottom of the main forum page. Things like # of threads, # of members, # of active members, “Welcome to our newest member, so-and-so.” Is this something I’ve done? I looked in the User Control Panel, but did not see anything that appeared to effect this change.

Try going up one level from Main to Straight Dope Message Board. I can see those statistics there. (Main really isn’t needed any more since they got rid of that old barn section or whatever it was called, but it’s probably more trouble than it’s worth to take it out.)

Yes, that’s it. When I go from The Straight Dope page to Straight Dope Message Boards via the link, the statistics are there. There are no forums listed. When I click the bar that has “Main” typed in it, I see the forums listed but no longer see the statistics. I thought there was a time when I could click the button for Message Boards from The Straight Dope page and it would bring up a page with the forums listed as well as the statistics at the bottom. I seem to have done something that caused the forum listings to be “collapsed” when coming in via this route, which I rarely do.

On the right-hand end of the “Main” bar there is a button to expand or collapse the forum listing. Clicking on the button will expand or collapse the Main group as appropriate.
