Johnny Carson did exactly the same bit on _The Tonight Show_, along with some variations on the theme. I thought the funniest was when he went into the Men’s Room at a gas station and found the recorder and envelope with the photos taped inside the toilet tank. He didn’t make out of there in time either. 😃
