Besides the question of the non-heat on the Pussy Wagon, I also wonder, idly, where the Bride got the money for all those plane tickets, the motorcycle, gasoline, and the (presumably) fake passports she’d have needed. But it doesn’t bother me much. ---

I could also imagine her getting at her savings and renewing her passport during the months she’d need to rehabilitate after her coma. Of course, who cares? On a minor (heh-heh) note, I’m pretty sure one of the reasons O-Ren’s origin was done in aminé is because American audiences would be uneasy seeing an 11 year-old actress in a sexual situation, and then gruesomely killing three men. This got me wondering if I’ve _ever_ seen a movie in which a pre-adolescent uses firearms to kill adults. Even John Conner in _Terminator 2_ only loaded the weapons before passing them off to Sara or the Governor of California. ---

I can think of several films with kids shooting adults. They’re Japanese, of course. Weirdos. ---

As for the lists, I was under the impression that she kept rewriting the list. I believe there was a voice over at some point when she was writing that said she need to keep refocusing in order to stay in the right frame of mind. This relates back to the whole swordmaker saying that revenge? or killing?..was a forest and that it was easy to get lost. ---

It’s not a movie, but in an episode of _St. Elsewhere_, Dr. Morrison’s four year old son shoots and kills an intruder. Morrison had previously hidden a gun under his mattress, and the boy had switched the gun for a toy. When Morrison goes for the gun to defend himself, he has his boy’s toy, and the intruder beats and ties him up. The boy, trying to play with the intruder, but having the real gun, kills the intruder. On the OP: The Bride kills Oren first, then goes back for Fox, thus the order of the names crossed off on the list. The second killing is shown first because it only takes a few minutes of screen time and no setup, leaving the bulk of the film for the more elaborate storyline. ---

I thought the film was fantastic, and not too difficult to follow the time ‘jumps’ as im a fan of the other QT films. One question that bugs me is why was her Uma’s characters name ‘bleeped’ out when she was introduced to fox’s kid?? Sure that it will be answered in part 2 but am intreaged now!! ---

I think the bleeping is done to draw attention to the fact that she is a character with no name. Usually, when a character goes unnamed in a movie (such as the Narrator in _Fight Club_) dialog is intentionally manipulated to hide this, but here Tarantino goes out of his way to advertise it. It’s an homage to all of the avenging angels in cinema history who are identified by some character trait rather than their actual name, such as Preacher from _Pale Rider_ or The Lone Ranger. ---

I purposely avoided reading previews etc. about this movie and it wasn’t until the totally implausible hospital sequence that I realized that this movie was not set in our world but in Comic Book Land. Tino foes for the hot hot finish and ending. If it comes in the middle of the story, hmm, cut and paste it to the end. The ending in Pulp Fiction was a hot ending, as was Kill Bill. If Tarantino did Julius Caesar, he will end it with Caesar’s arrogance and death, and have Augustus’ men and Brutus’ men fight in the middle. ---

This over-rated movie was a no substitute for Pulp Fiction. I thought the yakuza guys were supposed to be missing a finger? Or am I missing something here? ---

I have no idea what that may be, but they generally start with the small ones first, and work their way up. Out of curiosity, how do you guys have this info about Volume 2? ---
