# Mitch McConnell and Medical Issues

He improved quickly on a diet of dark leafy greens such as romaine lettuce, collard greens, mustard greens, carrot tops, endive, Swiss chard and kale. Also they gave him some vitamin A supplements, and had him sit under a UV/Heat lamp for a while.

Maybe I’m just getting too jaded, but I’m so used to lying politicians that I expect “He’s all better!” to be followed by “Well, he _will_ _be,_ as soon as he’s out of this coma we forgot to mention…”

I watched the Face the Nation interview on Sunday. He definitely seemed to have his “wits” about him in that he was able to respond to the questions and his sentences made sense.

But it was clear he’s lost some of his footing and being on target requires more concentration than in the past. Something did seem slower about him.

So, IMHO, he’s not completely recovered, just more lucid.
