My biggest gripe is Mattingly bringing in a pinch runner for Gonzalez. Once Michael Young takes over in the number 4 spot, Hanley never sees another pitch in the game. Stupid. ---

Stodgy, tradition-bound teams who know the intangibles are the ones who succeed in the playoffs. Therefore, the teams still in the playoffs are, by definition, stodgy, tradition-bound, and good on the intangibles. QED. ---

And now Puig is, what, 0 for 10??!!!? Sheesh. But it’s never just one batter. Dodgers need to let the Cards pitch to them next game. Last couple innings, they’re swinging at anything. Anyhoo, GO RED SOX!! ---

I don’t think it was intentional, but it does give you an advantage if you disable the other team’s best hitter. Great pitching from both teams for 2 games in a row. ---
